I like seeing that we're having more and more playmakers. Now, I just hope to see that the offensive line is up to the task...

Having the ball spotted quicker is going to suck for a team that's down one score near the end of the game. The clock won't be stopped as long after gaining a 1st down as it was in seasons past . Those o-linemen better hustle to the new line of scrimmage.

I'm curious to see how this helps. Seems like there's many times we get screwed on the spot. I know it works both ways, but . . .

I thought this at first as well, but I seem to recall that the clock stops after a 1st down to move the chains. The chain gang will still be the limiting factor so I don't see a first down ready to play signal being any faster.

The 8th guy doesn't have anything to do with judging where to spot the ball. It's about getting the ball up to the spot where the sideline officials have deemed the next spot to be.

So he's basically the equivalent of the kid who caries CPRs headset around for him?

Really appreciated the depth of the questions you asked Sam in the Q&A. Good stuff there, Chris!
