    Barney Cotten joins Nebraska

Cotton has unofficially joined the Big Red. Now it looks like Ben Cotton has de-committed from Louisville and going to Lincoln.

While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”

Kind of interesting - he sorta told off Husker-nation after our win in '04.

From another thread I just responded to...

At least Shawn Watson (OC) and Ted Gillmore (the WR's coach) are being retained.
It's certainly very interesting and the puppet comment isn't completely unwarranted. I am hearing a lot of "past" from these two right now. Going into the past for coaches hasn't exactly worked out for a few teams in the NFL recently.

I will say Chizik did hire some coaching friends that fans had questions about. With how the off-season programs were run and the season wrapped up - looked to be decent hires so far. A different situation though as none of these guys had coached in Ames.

Lots of eggs being tossed in this basket for the Huskers. If this doesn't get turned around and rather soon - it could spell very bad news for Nebraska football.

Is Cotton going to be the offensive coordinator?

Wow...that IS classless! From what was being said on the board in the first link, it sounds like Solich was excluded while Callahan was there, too.

    Re: Barney Cotten joins Nebraska

I think Barney will be a good OL coach for NU....besides if they have to get rid of him in a couple of years they will still have his kid. I was looking around and this article tells about a scholly that was offered by the NU god. He accepted of course.....the bad part is he was close to going to Iowa State

He was going to wait to see who the new staff was,” said mom Jodi. “If anything wouldn’t have changed, he was leaning toward Iowa State. But once Tom Osborne called last night, he told my husband, ‘I can’t say no to him. It’s Tom Osborne.’”
