Eh, not too worried. I could rip apart just about any food and find something to complain about.

Plus, when he said "it doesn't look like chicken, it looks like some sort of alien life form" it just made me laugh, thinking about:

    Re: McNuggets Under the Microscope

If you know how McNuggets are made What Are Chicken Nuggets Made Of? - YouTube this should be what you'd expect.

I suspect the fibers are part of the mesh used in the straining process that break off but are considered innocuous. The red coloring is nothing too alarming. The dark materials would be marrow, blood, veins, possibly parts of kidney (chicken kidneys are lodged in bone hard to remove intact).

Tasty yes. I used to eat them alternating between Honey sauce and the Mustard Sauce.

Don't think they are too much away from Blood Wurst, Head Cheese or Liver Sausage but most people want not to think about it.

McNuggets haven't been made from mechanically separated chicken since 2003.

    Re: McNuggets Under the Microscope

I have been in multiple plants in the us and Canada that make chicken mcnuggets and you would be pleasantly surprised by the chicken breasts that are used. I work for the company that makes the machines that make chicken niggets. Now there isn't much meat in a mcnugget, the breading gives it thickness, but it is chicken.

That's good to know. Now what are those fibers found in the McNuggets?

Also, many poultry and pork products found in stores does include mechanically deboned meat which does include a minimal level of bone and other parts that are edible but not meat. http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/CFR-201...sec381-173.pdf

The more appropriate question is why the hell would anyone eat anything from McDonald's.
