I don't understand the love for Nebraska.

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

    Re: Preseason AP Poll

No Big XII teams in the top 10. That's a first. Lots of SEC teams being ranked will once again be a self fufilling prophecy given their schedules. With so many ranked highly that play no one other than 1 or 2 games against each other we'll get another season of SEC SCHEDULES! from ESPN.

    Re: Preseason AP Poll

TCU-LSU and Texas-Ole Miss are both huge games for how conference teams end up being ranked. Oklahoma laying another egg against Notre Dame would also be pretty bad.

Looks like the experts predict us to be the 4th best conference in America.

To some extent I agree but we as a conference have to start preforming better in bowl games

Why do I not give a crap about this? Frankly, anything in College Football not Iowa State (and to a lesser extent Mizzou) related, I just don't care about any more.

Oh yeah, I don't think we have anybody that deserves a top ten ranking. I but I also don't think that 6 of the top 12 teams in the country are in the SEC. But here are the ranked teams they play:

Ranked teams Played by Alabama: #7 A&M, #12 LSU

Ranked teams played by Georgia: #8 Clemson, #6 South Carolina, #12 LSU, #10 Florida

Ranked teams played by South Carolina: #5 Georgia, #10 Florida, #8 Clemson

Ranked teams played by Texas A&M: #1 Alabama, #12 LSU

Ranked teams played by Florida: #5 Georgia, #6 South Carolina, #11 Florida State

Ranked teams played by LSU: #20 TCU, #5 Georgia, #10 Florida, #1 Alabama, #7 Texas A&M

Basically if Alabama beats A&M and LSU they will cruise into the national title game without facing anybody. Lots of chances to rest their starters, rehab injuries, grow depth, etc... And A&M faces a very similar cakewalk through the season apart from the Alabama and LSU games.

LSU faces a grind of a schedule, and Georgia has a pretty decent one as well. But most other teams face a cakewalk that is set up to waltz them into the BCS.

Like I said I agree. Still people are quickly going to start thinking the Big12 is competitive top to bottom but not against anyone else if we dont start winning the bowls.

They've still got T-Mart, so that'll count for something. I definitely don't think they should be ranked highly, but they're probably a top-25 team. Wisconsin is the one I don't get. Lose Ball, lose Bielema and yet they're ranked a year after losing 6 games?

+1 on Wisconsin. It'll be interesting how the 3-4 defense does in the B1G, too.

Giant offense, lots of home games. Could go 8-0 with their schedule. Just a safe pick for awhile.
