    Angry Women's Basketball

Wow...some people on here are overly senstive to the fact that the majority of people find women's basketball as a whole boring...

It's pretty fun watching the Twister Sisters when they're lighting it up from 3 point land. I can't wait til tomorrow night vs. Iowa.

This a general statement that has nothing to to do with the cyclones

I don't have a problem supporting the clones and I think you should, but I am making a general statement.

If you don't like it, ignore it. Or...you can poke fun at it I 'spose.

I'd venture to guess you got flack for our post a few days ago in a WBB thread...

could not have worded it any better

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

    Re: Women's Basketball

In my opinion, Womens games are much more fun to attend. They play hard and the fans are loud. If the womens fans attended men's games Hilton would be a much better environment. It is also amazing how many people do attend women's basketball. Fennelly is aweome. The girls are fun to watch. It is family friendly. If mens games were more like womens I would definitely enjoy them more.

I used to go to all their games back when I was in school but haven't been to many since then. Hopefully will make it to 1 or 2 this year though.

No one is oversensitive to the fact some find it boring, people are oversensitive to the fact that you feel the need to express your opinion in a derogatory manner. If you don't like it, just say so without being a smart *** about it, or better yet, just keep it to yourself.

    Re: Women's Basketball

Why would someone who finds the sport utterly boring go out of there way to degrade it? It takes a lack of class to do something like that.

It's obvious many people enjoy watching the women play. The Mrs. and I tune them in on CloneZone whenever possible.

    Re: Women's Basketball

I, too, find WBB pretty boring. The key is, I don't go to the "women's basketball" forum and post, "Hey this sport stinks". It's like people going to in-state rivals and posting "why can't we just talk about the cyclones?". I support all of the cyclone athletic teams, I just don't care to watch some of the sports (i.e. wrestling, wbb, volleyball, soccer etc.). I don't go telling people who enjoy those sports that they are boring though.

    Re: Women's Basketball

The best part about WBB games is the old guy who sits about 5 or 10 rows up opposite the scorer's table and yells really loud. Someone told us that he's been there for many, many years doing that. If you've been to a few WBB games, then you probably know who I'm talking about.

All in all, a pretty good crowd, and I will say that WBB is much more exciting in person than on TV. I guess you can say that about most sports though.
