How good has the offense looked this Spring and Fall?

I know some of you have been to the practices and the scrimmages this year, so compared to last year is the offense really looking better? If so in what areas? Who are the wow guys this fall? (Guys that look way better than you thought they would or look much better than others at their position)

They damn well better look good against our defense or we're going to be in trouble this year.

Sometimes good, other times bad. Sometimes they run, other times they pass. That is my expert analysis.

i know a lot of people say that you can have have no idea till we play someone; well there are subtle clues to find; go back and watch the games from last year; we could make big plays from time to time but had very few long sustained drives; Tulsa we had mostly big plays; iowa we couldn't finish drives; ttech game was a huge warning sing we were in big trouble; tcu we had a bunch of big plays; osu was an offensive disaster; Baylor we had a huge passing night; lots of 30 yarders. Then Sam came in for Kansas and we had some decent drives; wvu we had some long sustained drives; and Tulsa was an utter distaster and we had no push whatsoever on oline.

now after studying last year go listen to what the coaches said in camp last year and it actually lines up with what happened; they stressed the importance of not having turnovers and completion percentage; we had tons Of turnovers which killed us; and they said jantz/Barnett were completing 60% in camp; rhoads said last camp you want 60% in reg season so u want more in camp; red flags. Woody in this camp said qbs were telling the wrs two different things last camp; this year woody said it is great having a clear #1.

There are a lot more hints that we will b better offensively but I won't cover everything. The first 2 games last year told us everything we needed to know about the offense and it held true most of the year. Count how many long meticulous drives we had last season that resulted in touchdowns; go back and watch the iowa game; our defense just threw up their hands at times; see osu game; not that they gave up; just lost the jump in their step.

Now go listen to what woody said at the media day; listen to what brun said; watch spring game highlights; listen to what other coaches are saying; listen to what rhoads and burnham said about dline at media day (they are doing well). Listen to what posters have said that saw the scrimmage; look at the improved talent at wr by watching spring game and listening to cw etc. offense will be better; defense will be serviceable; special teams will be solid.

    brun on the oline:
i know they are going to dominate.

wonder if that was said at all last year in camp?

    brun on the offense:
we are making things look easy.

did anything look easy last season?

    messingham on s richardson:
been calm cool leader; had a good camp so far; we are only 7 days in but he has had a good camp this year.

compare that to what he said last year camp in regarding qbs.

I must be a casual fan because nothing else matters except August 31.

Coaches don't normally give positive feedback. They are great at skirting questions if they don't see positive signs.

I know if Ben B. sees good things in the OL than they must really be playing well. No one tells it like it is better than him. He was brutally honest about the failures of the offense in prior years.

The D will be a lot better than people think. The O will not put them in all the bad spots of last year.

I think he was quoting Ernst Brun, not Ben Bruns...

The offense should now flourish because the two pieces (SJ and JB) that were holding it back are now gone.
