Hey Chris... do you have any idea how Darius White is looking at LB? He definitely has the size. I was hoping he'd at least be in the two deeps, but no mention of him whatsoever. Hopefully it's just a sign of just how good Knott and Meeks might be that they are already ahead of White on the depth chart as true freshmen, but kinda scary too.

This might be a stupid question, but what is wrong with Willie Scott and his paperwork that CPR mentioned in the press conference?

Regarding the Gridiron Club scrimmage on Saturday - don't know if many on this board attended (or belong to the Gridiron Club), but I for one was impressed by the offensive line. There seems to be a different mentality, and I have no doubt it comes from Coach Klenakis.

Don't know to be honest...All I know is that he wasn't mentioned by Rhoads. It could have just been as simple as coach forgetting to mention him. I'll ask about him sometime this week.

Scott was arrested for a controlled substance in April. He was also suspended indefinitely from competition at that time. No word yet on if/how many games he will miss.

This is great to hear, as last year it seemed like guys were looking for where they need to block as much as they were blocking. With all the smaller, faster defenses in the Big 12 it is time to line up and run at them. Down hill running gives ISU the best chance to have some type of a consistent running attack with the OL and backs that they have.

If Daley is ready to emerge at WR, he and Bundrage could be a deadly combo...

It is great to hear that the OL was playing very good, but on the flip side, how was the DL playing? I think in one of the interviews that the DL sacked the QB 8 or 9 times, which is great. However, did the DL look as strong as we have been hearing for those who were at the scrimmage?

Having one guy not qualify isn't too bad. Maybe DA can go to IWCC if he still wants to go to God's Country. I really don't need to know this, but I am assuming that Coleman's scholly came from DA's rather than Collin Bevins?

Hopefully this media day is the last of the Jake and AJ questions.

I agree. Proud of them and their legacy, and hope they do well in the pros, but this is a new team and new year. Gotta keep moving forward.

"There's always some guy that knows what the hell's going on. I get a kick out of how much of an authority these guys are, who have never been to my practices. That amazes me, how they can tell me what's wrong with my team. And I must really be dumb, because I'm there every day and goddamn I have a hard time figuring it out sometimes."-Johnny Orr

Couldn't agree more. These linebackers are more than capable and I frankly wouldn't be surprised if George has a better season than Jake or A.J. ever did. Defense has reloaded and hopefully they make a name for themselves this year.

You wouldn't be surprised if George was an All American? Because that's what it would take to have a better season than Knott or Klein. They only have a first team All Big 12 and a league defensive player of the year award between them, but whatever.

Wouldn't be surprised even a little bit.
