I have a feeling that is the exact same reaction Hawk recruits would have if they saw this in the locker room in Iowa City. It would soon be followed by walking directly out the door.
I hadn't even thought of it from a recruits perspective...
Can you imagine being the parent of a recruit and seeing that?? "Ah look honey, they take substance abuse and violence very seriously here at Louisville, they even have a sign saying so! As long as this sign is in place, our child will never be exposed to any of these things. "
Signs like this make me really appreciate the caliber of young men recruited by CPR and CFH to represent Iowa State. There have been a few bad apples, but by and large most of them are quality young men.
Ejim is an honor student genius. Babb sounds more like a coach than a player in interviews. Et al.
We kind of expect great athletes to be selfish and full of themselves, and frankly to not be real smart. But it really feels like ISU is getting great athletes who are also smart, hardworking, and selfless. Maybe that's my cardinal-tinted glasses...
