    Deep Sea Fishing

Anybody ever been? I'm on my way to the San Diego marina right now for a full day of it. I'm not a big fisherman, but I have my patch on and am ready to go. Looking forward to it.

I've done it once and loved it. I'm not a big fisherman either but on a big boat in open water is a blast.

A ton of fun, and everything you catch fights really hard.

One tip: Don't drink a crap ton of whiskey the night before. Speaking from experience there...

    Re: Deep Sea Fishing

Deep Sea Fishing is awesome. I did some about a week ago, though it was way colder off the NW tip of Washington than it will be where you are. Good luck and you made us all jealous.

I've never used that patch, but I have taken the pill before going out there. Not even sure I need it as I haven't ever been boat sick, but I figure its better to take it just in case then spend all day puking.

Went once while up in Alaska. Without a doubt the most fun I have ever had fishing once I got over not being able to see land...that scared the hell out of me.

    Re: Deep Sea Fishing

Deep sea is a blast. Everything in saltwater fights so much harder pound for pound than freshwater. Keep hydrated and if you get sea sick keep your eyes on the horizon instead of the water in front of you. Also use some light long sleeve shirts if available, hats, sunscreen, etc. The sun is relentless out there, including the glare off the water.

Now that I have been saltwater fishing for a couple years now I actually prefer inshore to offshore. My folks have a house on the inter coastal waterway south of Tampa Bay and I love flats fishing for redfish, speckled trout, shark, cobia, etc.

However any day on the water fishing is a good day.

An alien fish made from cardboard based on the way he's pinching it

Im just glad I have Homan as my bodyguard, Eustachy joked. If I ever make it real big and get to drive a limo everyday, hell be driving it. I thought he came off the bench like somebody was stealing his cow or something.
