    Remember this quite?

Rivals.com Football Recruiting - Negative recruiting just part of the process

Iowa State linebacker Jeremiah George recalls a BCS-level assistant coach telling him to stick his head in his freezer and leave it there for a few hours if he wanted to know what he was getting himself into at Iowa State.

"It was about the coaching change and weather," George said. "Always about the weather."

Let my Fred's Posse Ride: Georges, Naz, Hogue, Bryce, Nader, Monte, Matt, and McKay.

Funny how Lane Kiffin is quoted saying that player commitments don't mean as much anymore.....

I really like high school LBs like Seonbuchner who can cover good receivers. I see glimpses of Knott and Klein in him (and not just the hair).

    Why have signing dates?

I have wondered why do signing dates exist? Maybe someone knows the justification.

IMO sanity should:be:brought into the process:

    1. Coaching staffs shouldn't be allowed to contact or kids visit schools athletic facilities until after March 1 their junior year.
    2. Kids and parents can visit campus and tour athletic facilities after April 1
    3. Kids can sign LOI anytime after June 1
    4. Kid must wait 48 hours after campus visit to sign LOI
    5. LOI can be voided by kid if school fires head coach.
    6. If kid changes mind they must sit out a year and cannot take part in team activities or use athletic department training facilities.

"Recruiting can be really weird, so I have to keep my options open," he said. "I have every intention of being at Iowa State in 2014, but if something happens I want to be respectful to all the coaches that are recruiting me just in case." - He gone.

Ha! Kiffen sounded like he was flat out begging for his job. Pretty much saying, "Guys, it's the AD's fault for me losing all of my recruits because he's not guaranteeing me my job regardless of the season's outcome!"
