Pro Bowl no longer NFC vs AFC

A "fantasy draft" will determine teams now. This game was already unwatchable.

The ball will change hands at the end of each quarter, which could double the opportunities for two-minute drills. Kickoffs (and return specialists) will be eliminated - teams will start on their own 25-yard line. Defenses will be allowed to play cover-2 and press coverage in addition to man, and several clock tweaks have been instituted to speed up the game and prompt offensive play.
    Are you freaking serious?

    My teams: (as of 6/15/14)
    Cleveland Browns: 4-12 - .250
    Cleveland Indians: 34-35 - .493
    Cleveland Cavs: 33-49 - .402
    Iowa State Cyclones (FB): 3-9 - .250
    Iowa State Cyclones (BB): 28-8 - .778

Why don't they turn this into a flag football game played on the Saturday before the Super Bowl at the Super Bowl location? Put mics on all of the players and maybe it could be interesting to watch.

Nobody cares about the Pro Bowl so no need to try and make it look like a real football game when it is not.

I think it could be interesting, time to stop acting like its a real game and just do things to make it fun to watch.

Advertisers care, because regardless of how bad the game is, people are still watching. This year's pro bowl had better ratings than any of the other major sports all star games, and it had a better average rating than the World Series.

I haven't watched a full Pro Bowl game since 1978.

CBS declined to show the game this year, I think that is twice now they have done that when they had the rights to the game. I would have to think the only reason they would do that is because it doesn't make much money.

Dang, I was hoping, after reading the title, they were going with "Leaders" and "Legends".

The NFL very possibly may charge too much for the rights to broadcast the game. But, that doesn't change the fact that the viewers are there. It outdrew the the World Series and all rounds of the NBA playoffs except the Finals. People are watching the event. That's why the threats from a couple of seasons ago of cancelling the game were completely idle. The league won't walk away from an event viewed by 13 million people.
