    Love it. As everyone knows now, Jack Trice's number was 37. I looked at the football roster and nobody is currently wearing #37. I think when they do bring out the throwback jerseys is to once and for all retire Jack Trice's #37. This is well overdue and would be the icing on the cake for the occasion.

    ...considering ISU rarely does throwbacks, is the only D1 team with a stadium named for a black person (at a time when black athletes weren't accepted most places), is coming up on the 40th anniversary of naming the stadium for him, the 90th anniversary of his death, and several years worth of built-up desire to see this jersey, the JT throwback isn't just because it "looks cool". The JT jersey is our shared history, our identity as a progressive school, and our future as a football team all rolled into one. so i'd say yes, getting worked up is appropriate.
