This made me chuckle poor Misery..

I know it is written by some random Tennessee SEC honk fan but it is hilarious.

That just shows how stupid Tennessee fans are. They make fun of Mizzou, and the fact that one if the only SEC games they won was against THEIR OWN TEAM! Idiots.

Remember, you're unique. Just like everyone else.

Until further notice, the Big 12 tournament is best. There's an experience here. Not just the teams -- the feel, the vibe, the establishments. Iowa State not only won the pregame -- filling the nearby Power & Light District -- it won the whole damn scene.

The article is so true though. Missouri left the Big 12 just so they could show everyone that they were as cool as aTm and Nebraska. Missouri is going to fall to complete irrelevancy within 5 years, if not sooner. Tennessee Football will at least be back someday, Missouri football wont ever be **** again.

"Kim & Khloe Take St. Louis." ... priceless! ... Actually, injuries on Mizzou's OL basically neutered their style of play. I'll bet they will do considerably better this next couple of years. I think the fast temp / spread attacks will eventually wear down the "old man" football currently being played by the heavyweights. Johnny Football gave them their first dose this past year.

I found the assertion that the clear consensus #2 conference wasn't the "big leagues" to be irritating. As well as crediting the SEC move for A&M's success. Yeah, I'm sure swapping Mike Sherman for Kevin Sumlin and Johnny Manziel not being a redshirt had nothing to do with it. Aggy got good because they finally brought in a good coach. They've had talent for years, and idiots at the helm.

Too much SEC masturbation for my taste.

There are some gems in that article like:

Fast forward 12 months, and the Tigers won two (2) SEC games against Tennessee, coached by the biggest disaster in school history, and Kentucky, who only plays football because they are contractually obligated to do so.

Yeah, it's kind of funny that ATM's success can be attributed to being in the SEC while Mizzou's lack of success is supposed to shine a negative light on the play of the B12. You can't have it both ways. Funny, ATM's best year since the B12 formed was their first year in the "big leagues". But the Big 12 gets zero credit for that.

Agreed, it is an SEC love fest article but I loved the Misery hate.

Re: This made me chuckle poor Misery..

Coincidently, I spent this weekend in Kansas City and listened to one of their TV stations talk about Missouri's SEC Media Day. Aside from being picked to finish last in their respective division, words used by said TV station to describe the day for Mizzoo included "largely overlooked" and "uninteresting." Pretty harsh, but no doubt true.

So it comes out at the end of the rant. He's jealous that Missouri has Branson and Lamberts:)

Mizzou was the middle child who just wanted someone to pay attention to me. They were putting together some good teams in the Big 12. Now they are a bottom feeder.

Re: This made me chuckle poor Misery..

The supposed potential that the U of Mo. enjoys is having the two large metropolitan area's of St. Louis and Kansas City with-in the State and only one major D-1 school. The reality is that St.Louis is a baseball town (Cards) and KC is a football town (Chiefs) and to a lesser degree an extension of KU and it's success in basketball and K-States success in football. Columbia has little connection to St. Louis and none to KC. I spend considerable time in both metro areas and Mizzou is not a front page item in the sports page. Too much superior competition. The biggest mistake Mizzou officials underestimated was the rivalry between the Tigers and the Jayhawks in basketball. Those two annual conference match-ups did command media attention and a real frenzy if they met the third time in the conference tournament. The academics in their administration were entrenched with getting into the Big 10 and when the overtures were publicly submitted and the subsequent non-interest by Big 10 officials ensued, they left for the SEC to save face with their own supporters. Big mistake.

At that point you pretty much just have to applaud the guy for sticking to his guns so long.
