    Re: Bowlsby on the Conference

    Bowlsby was a huge hire for the Big 12. I do like his stance about stability. Also the article notes that "Nine of 10 teams went to bowl games, making the Big 12 the first league ever to send 90 percent of its teams to the postseason in the same season." That is a remarkable achievement.

    I looked back at the standings, and for comparison, the B1G and SEC also had 9 teams bowl eligible, but they have 12 and 14 members respectively. The SEC elite benefits a great deal from having a number of layups on their conference schedule. In the Big 12. if you even think lay up, you will have your **** handed to you. ... In the B1G, the winner of the coin toss gets to choose feathers or foam for the ensuing pillow fight.

    It's not 100% that there will be a new logo at all, but if there is one it would probably be released tomorrow

    @ChuckCarltonDMN
    Don't be surprised if the Big 12's branding initiative includes unveiling of a new logo. Question: Roman numerals or not?
