    Here comes honey boo boo

Never seen this show but heard of it. Saw it for the first time last night and watch about 5 minutes of it. My thoughts during those 5 minutes.

"why is the closed caption? Oh, the show automatically has it in so you can understand them"
"how did these people get a tv show?"
    "people actually watch this show.....why?"
"I believe it now when I see or read reports stating that American's I.Q. is going down."
"what are they making....spaghetti? uh I have had enough of this."

Re: Here comes honey boo boo

One tactic to fight the dumbing down of America is to watch people who are dumber than you on TV. I don't subscribe to this philosophy but apparently it at least makes millions of Americans feel better about themselves.

I've never watched, but seen clips/heard it made fun of.

People watch it for the same reason they watch a train wreck. Morbid curiosity.

The thing that really gets me is it is on the learning channel. They should have to call it the "learning" channel. The only thing you learn about on that show is you should have no faith in humanity.

Never watched, and never will, but I think Idiocracy nailed the future of television pretty well

Never watched it but have seen commercials. Seems like the child is being exploited and will be subject to a lifetime of ridicule, but again, I have never seen an episode. The commercials seemed to indicate some sort of interactive scratch and sniff for her farts. Yea, The Learning Channel.

Never watched and never will. I'll never understand why people watch garbage like this, kate plus Eight, Khardashians etc.

Another one I refused to watch was Jersey Shore.

I meet enough DBs in real life, I don't need to watch a show about their kings and queens.

There are WAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY too many channels out there today. The entertainment talent pool including everything from actors, to writers, to directors is getting spread way to thin. It seems like if your willing to wear some type of stupid redneck clothing and act like an idiot, you can have your own TV show.

If they pay me, I am willing to do this.

My show will be cancelled when tabloids catch me not being an idiot at the grocery store.

I watched about 5 minutes of this show once and had to change the channel while I still had enough brain cells left. I swear I could feel my brain slowly draining out of my ears. Or maybe that was blood from trying to listen to these people speak "English".

Re: Here comes honey boo boo

Pretty sure The Learning Channel officially rebranded themselves as TLC, so learning is no longer in the official name. If not, my scratch and sniff smells like a false advertising lawsuit.

Seriously though, it is sad how far this channel has fallen. I used to really enjoy a lot of programming on this network. Now, it might as well be Bravo.

    FIFY

I don't think I'm alone when I say I'd like to see more and more planets fall under the ruthless domination of our solar system.

I agree and have most of the same questions about WWE
