Ubben is once again aboard the BU bandwagon.

You would think he would have learned his lesson last year but sure enough, nope.

I'd be pretty stunned if that happened. It would have to be a game like Missouri in 2011 where for whatever reason the defensive game plan is not good at all.

Where our program is I'd be somewhat surprised and disappointed if we lose any games by that much, especially a game to a Baylor team that might be good but probably won't be great.

Ubbs has a chubby for Seastrunk (sp) and automatically thinks that Baylor is back to the top of the league just because they played well at the end of the season.

“It’s beyond pride. It’s a restored trust. There’s a confidence again, a passion that teeters on swagger. More than anything, (Iowa State head coach Paul Rhoads) has restored the Iowa State “it” factor, the steadfast belief that it is great to be a Cyclone...the man’s enthusiasm is genuine to the core...”

That game will come down to how many points the offense can put on the board for us. A young defense which will more than likely lack discipline is a recipe for disaster against a team like Baylor who just tries to kill you with speed. I think it'll be a lot like our last trip to Waco where they scored basically at will.

Same as last year really. They Lose their qb and top wr just to name a couple. I don't buy them being any better than last year

We are "young" at maybe 4 positions on defense? Interior line, but we have Jensen, Woods, and Coe (all Srs or Jrs) none of which are young and two young linebackers. Kenneth Lynn has seen tons of action, so too has Miller and Brackens, its not like we are throwing redshirt freshman out there. I think we have more age than some think at all levels.

It's worth pointing out that while Baylor will likely be good on offense again, RGIII and Bryce Petty are two different players.

Personally, I feel he is really disrespecting Snyder. HSnyder has had 5 losing seasons as the head coach at KSU 2 of them the first two years of this tenure and KSU was REALLY bad then.

Young as in actual experience. Green I guess is a better word.

The guts of the defensive line graduated and they weren't very good. The fact that none of these guys could beat out what hasn't been a good line since about 2005 is worrisome. The linebackers are obviously worse. The defensive backs it doesn't matter all that much because we're going to challenge teams to just repeat 5 yard pass after 5 yard pass. We lost a bunch of seniors who contributed a lot of experience because they had to play due to lack of depth earlier in their careers and are replacing them with guys who, outside Klein and Knott, wouldn't have played for any other school in the Big 12.

There is some experience out there but it's more "desperation" experience than "ready to compete" experience and those are two very different things.

Yea but you have to consider the "Ubben Factor" which implies that nothing that is considered to be common sense can be applied to anything that he is about to say. I bet it was hard for him to acknowledge the fact that Jeremiah George was on the Butkus watch list seeing as how George plays for ISU. If I read one positive thing he states about Iowa State without a backhanded compliment attached I think I might print it and frame it.... Id try to get a signature but I know better than to expect one of his road trips to land on an ISU game.

At least they don't have any bandwagon fans. Or any fans really.

I wouldn't be surprised at an outcome similar to the 2011 ISU @ Baylor game.
