2012 Marshall vs. Tulsa (Kane 40 points)

This video really helped me get a glimpse of what Kane can bring to this Iowa State team. He looks like he can get to the rim at will. These are the highlights of a triple overtime game against Tulsa in 2012. Kane is #24. I think Kane scored 40 points in this game.

Love the energy. I still think he makes a great 3 man.
Not loving the PG spot for him. But that being said he has some skill.

He is going to thrive in Fred's uptempo offense.

He will have the biggest impact of any of our transfers other than Royce and Babb was pretty damn good last season.

Re: 2012 Marshall vs. Tulsa (Kane 40 points)

If this years roster gets to its maximum potential, its likely Kane will be playing a lot of minutes as a third guard with Bubu and Morris sharing the point guard duties. My interpretation of Kane based on what I have read and seen is that he is a two guard with point guard experience/skills (out of necessity). The question all year will be how small of a lineup can we get away with on the defensive end.

So this was actually his sophomore season correct? I think he wore #50 last season. Not that it matters just curious.

Re: 2012 Marshall vs. Tulsa (Kane 40 points)

He looks like a 2 or a 3 guard to me. He is more like Curtis Stinson than he is a stand up shooter IMO. 3 guard would be perfect IMO.

He lights it up in the 2OT and finishes around the basket. What a great pickup by Fred

He has a lot of versatility. He can easily play 1-3. I really think Bubu and Morris will see some serious minutes at the 1 with Kane going over to the 2/3 along with Matt

He looks like a bigger Diante that can actually finish at the rim..

I hope he shoots the 3 ball like DG did in his senior campaign.

If he can improve that part of his game, we'll be tough to stop offensively.

Our transition game should be quite fun this year.

Re: 2012 Marshall vs. Tulsa (Kane 40 points)

PG is just a label in Fred's offense, were Royce or Will PG's...nope but they spent time there. Kane will have the ball in his hands a lot. Early on, he's the guard we will be looking at to carry the scoring load. IMO
