My point is that I don't understand why people get so worked up over something that really has zero impact on their lives. A Cardinals fan pointing out to me that the Cubs haven't won the World Series in over a century has no impact on my life, and I think it's stupid of them to do so. But hey, whatever gives people a sense of security I guess.

Congrats. Cards have scored 3 total runs on the 4th and 5th starters of a trash team in 2 games.

162 games > 2 games. At the end of the season, Cardinal fans don't look back and say "What was our record vs. the Cubs?"

But if you take pleasure in the fact that Cardinals have only scored 3 runs, then Congrats.

    See you in October. NOT.

The Cubs have won 40+ games by the All Star Break. Thats some kind of accomplishment IMO.

Rulzzz, we need to talk some things through. Not all of us Cardinals fans are the same... or try not to be sometimes.

Don't worry guys, I made it.

Both teams have top 5 farm systems...Cubs have more money, Cards have better players now.

I think the series in 2015 will be very exciting.

But, us Cub fans gotta give it to the Cardinals organization, they've done things right over the years, and we haven't thanks to the Tribune Co and Hendry.

That being said, I truly believe in MLB, the White Sox and Cardinals have some of the most disrespectful fans in the history of the sport - which is fine with me, they just reflect poorly on the organization *cough*hoopstournament*cough*

    Re: Cubs/Cardinals Trash Talk Thread

I don't like when people bash Cardinal fans but that being said I will say my compliment towards the Cubs anyways. I'm a diehard Cardinal fan but its pretty clear to me the Cubs won't stay bad for very long. They are starting to get one of the best farm systems in baseball if its not already the best. Guys like Soler, Baez, Almora, the recently signed Bryant and the #1 and #3 international prospects coming into this years July 2nd signings. The Cubs are starting to do it the way I wish the Cardinals did it. And by that I mean drafting and signing high upside young talent. When those guys are up the Cubs could be very good.

Onto the Cardinals, once our young guys comes up (Taveras, Wacha, Wong and Martinez) the Cubs/Cardinals series could be very exciting in the future. It's okay to hate the rival team but it's also okay to respect the good things they do and admit they have some of the top young prospects in baseball.

    Go Cards!
