Hickory Park on Duff used to be a Bonanza. Try wrapping your brain around that one.

We saw one of the sets when we went to Reno and traveled over to Lake Tahoe.

The Ponderosa Steakhouse was on Lincoln Way back when the Bonanza was in the Hickory Park location.

Remember, you're unique. Just like everyone else.

Until further notice, the Big 12 tournament is best. There's an experience here. Not just the teams -- the feel, the vibe, the establishments. Iowa State not only won the pregame -- filling the nearby Power & Light District -- it won the whole damn scene.

I seem to recall the Virginia / Smokey Mts to be quite different scenery from the Tahoe piney forests, but Hollywood has to work with what they got..........

HUH? What does Bonanza have to do with the Smokey Mountains?

I don't remember that, but I remember them located on the corner of Duff and 16th.

The steak buffetts are not doing well. The Chinese buffetts are surviving. Is that a trend?

That was something like the old "Tony's Little Italy" or something. They moved there from the block building and before the old Bonanza. At least I am pretty sure it was Hickory Park in the old block building back in the middle 70's.

Are you thinking Virginia because of Virginia City? I was confused about that as a kid too. But learned later that Virginia City is in Montana.
