I love your optimism. However it is a statement like this that invariably comes back to bite and bite hard. It also makes 'us" sound like "them" and that makes me uncomfortable.

Not really. He's using facts other than school colors.
It could happen, but I don't believe Iowa beats us here. They'll have to play their absolute best game to do it. That won't happen.

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.
Make this one for the ages!

If it makes you feel any better I would bet the farm on us losing at Oklahoma in football this year...I'm not trying to be a homer but Iowa hasn't won in Hilton in over a decade

Saying Jordan Railey could start and we could still win ,is hardly using facts. It is putting down a former team member, I do not like to read that type of thing. Also put me in the club that thinks Iowa will be decent and we have struggled early in the season.

I remember the general confidence before last year's game - we were WAY to athletic and good at shooting to lose to Iowa, even in Carver...

when you're a team that shoots a lot of 3's, you'll have some off nights - including in your own house. When that happens, even bad teams can beat you. Iowa will not be a bad team.

ISU can lose to anyone on the road just don't see them losing to a team that isn't elite in Hilton. They've shot poorly against good teams and still beat them in Hilton

It's a lot easier to have an off night at a different venue. The fact that the game will be at home drastically reduces the chances of an off night IMO. Wasn't it Baylor at home last year when we had an "off" night at 3 and still controlled the game pretty easily?

There are certainly exceptions - which you've noted. But it's no guarantee.

i won't continue to discuss this, so I'll summarize that there is a difference between confidence and hubris. I am confident that (with the addition of Kane) that we can beat Iowa next fall - but there is certainly no guarantee.

Iowa was terrible on the road last year and them coming into Hilton doesn't exactly put any fear in me. They could be different this year but I doubt it. Same old team with a roster full of role players that can't shoot. Doesn't seem like a team that would get us in Hilton.

If you think Fred is going to let this squad lose to Iowa at home, you are crazy. He will have them focused and hungry for that game. He is a cyclone to the bone after all. I am with cytwins, they are not winning in the Hilton next year. 15,000 cyclone fans will ensure that as well.

Iowa lost at Nebraska last year and barely beat a horrible Ped State team at their place too, but, they do return a lot of players from last year. A win in Hilton is not a guarantee but after winning 30 of 32 I like our chances. Teams fear Hilton again and I love it.

Being confident that ISU will win and betting the farm are two drastically different things. I'll take a bet if someone wants to show off their confidence.

Exactly. I'm 75% sure ISU will win. But to state it as fact that Iowa cannot win in Hilton is erroneous.

You're saying you want to bet Iowa to win at Hilton?

I'll take a bet if it's worth my while. I'd like to field some offers to see who's the most confident.
