    No it doesn't. UNI stopped sending their players due to the new workout rules, and iowa refusing to play home and homes.

    I was dreaming the other day about how to make a more competitive summer league. I think it would be cool to have Drake, ISU, UNI, and Iowa players all in one league - games played in Marshalltown (probably the most central location with a decent gym and parking), and maybe it could even include some MCC JuCos, etc. I know it's just a dream, but it would be double the competition level of either the CCL or PTL.
    I'm pretty sure there are strict NCAA rules for summer leagues that state that more than two division 1 schools can't compete in the same one.

    Wow. Serious?! What would be the point of that rule? To keep kids from playing similar competition and improving?

    FWIW ISU has had the best team last year and still lost to the Hawks. This is the down side of rebuilding. December can be unkind. Remember Royce's team losing to Drake, OUCH! The progress made during the season the previous two years says a lot about the coaching. Likewise, this years team should be playing well by March. Time will tell if the talent level is up enough to have a better December too.

    Since the league must be located within 100 air miles of the student athlete's school, it would be a competitive disadvantage for schools that are more isolated. At least that's my understanding.

    To think there's no chance ISU loses to Iowa this year is ridiculous IMO. The game takes place early in the season where Iowa's experience and Iowa State's youth in the back court will be bigger factors. I'm not saying Iowa State will lose, but it's far from a guaranteed win.

    I'm dead sure that Royce's team never played Drake, and also that I didn't pay $28/ticket to see a game like that.


    Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.

    Iowa State will not lose at Hilton no matter how mediocre Iowa will be...I'd bet the farm on it

    Hoiberg is 30-2 in his last 32 games in Hilton. Both losses were to top 10 teams and we all remember the last one. We could have Jordan Railey start and win no matter what unathletic squad they put out there.
