It's probably bad that I've only heard of half of those

Not really. I live in MPLS close to a indie theater that shows some smaller movies and go to those quite a bit.

I have seen none of these, though I can't remember the last movie I saw in theaters was.

Re: Best movies of 2013 so far?

Star Trek is the only movie I have seen this year, so I will give that one the number one spot.

I am anxiously awaiting Pacific Rim, though. Maybe that will take over #1.

While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”

Sorry to digress, but I caught part of 'Independence Day' again last night and just wanted to report that yes, it is still the most ridiculously lame movie in the history of film.

I am not nor have I ever been a fan of Will Smith. He annoys the hell out of me.

Re: Best movies of 2013 so far?

Who the hell has time to watch ten movies in a year?

I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints, so I said to the Lord,
“You promised me Lord, that if I followed you, you would walk with me always. During the most trying periods of my life there has only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?”
“Because,” says the Lord, “Sandpeople always ride single-file, to hide their numbers.”

I wish this were true for me but I thought MOS was incredibly disappointing. The best parts to me were the flashbacks but all the action scenes got too long and repetitive for my liking.

This. Not only the time, but the money. Still remember the last movie I saw in the theater......Terminator: Salvation, in May 2009. Now there are just too many commercials and previews, loud people, annoying kids, cell phone users, etc.

Might break the streak though to go see Man of Steel. Might.

The last movie I saw in theaters was The Dark Knight. The last one before that was Signs(2002).
