It is Belize. Non of these guys are pros. Non of the offensive play makes up for the fact the goal these amateurs scored came form he and Parkhurst. That is your D mid leading the confusion he should turn in his shirt. Mix and Stu would have us with more than 3 and wouldn't have puked the one

I don't think the goal was his fault (saw the replay, he was marking his guy tight. It was Parkhurst or maybe Orozco). It is Belize though, you're right, we shouldn't allow a goal . Stu is coming on now so I'm guessing Klinsmann just didn't want to play him the whole 90 and that's the only reason Beckerman was on at all. Anyway, I guess I just don't think he is as bad as you do.

Nice goal by Stu. That will never come from Beckerman.

Beckerman is better than I am, I admit. He is not even close to one of out better D mids. The fact that he seems to be on Jurgens top 5 worries me. Beckerman is an Avg MLS'er he is sub-standard Internationally

As a Fan Otter you can see that Stu Holden sees the game in a completely different way than Beckerman. It is World's apart

I never said anything different. All I said was I see why Klinsmann plays him. In the Stu vs Beckerman debate I go Stu 10 times out of 10, but clearly Klinsmann doesn't want him going a full 90 yet. Also, I think we can all agree this is the greatest picture ever:

    Fabulous pic.

Fair Play to you. In a moment of honesty, I may be biased cause I never want Jermaine Jones or Kyle Beckerman anywhere near any US roster. For me they offer nothing to this team.

I have been harsh on both of those guys in the past. I am accepting Jones until it is clear Holden can't get back to his former level or if Cameron can't keep up his great form with the USMNT. I will never accept Beckerman though. He may be good with tackling and positioning, but I think Holden has made it pretty clear that he is equal on the defensive end and infinitely better offensively. Good game overall, but CB will be a worry against more capable opponents.

No I didn't say I didn't want him anywhere near the team. I just didn't want him starting. This is weird getting drilled by Ian about Jozy. Ian you were in the 3% of US fans that still believed in Jozy. Jozy clearly had all the tools, but I am not one that thinks you have to be performing for your club to perform for your country.

The fact Ian is giving me the business about Jozy says nothing about JJ being a lightning rod and a liabilty. Apples to Oranges and you know it Ian. In fact I expect better. Your turn

Maybe it is just me! Gus Johnson was called out yesterday, but Jp Dellecamera and Cobi Jones were absolute crap tonight. Yet no comments there.

I will always rage on JJ and Beckerman they are sub standard. In the case of JJ he is a disgrace, Beckerman just sucks. Geoff Cameron, Stu and Danny Williams should be the only D Mids considered. However, I argue that if you take responsible mids like Stu, Zusi etc, they can play that dual/ double pivot with Bradley in Center Mid and give a true push pull. We don't need a true D Mid with the 5 man mid we currently deploy

Im not quite sure how saying that I don't like Gus Johnson as a soccer play-by-play guy makes me the president of the Dellecamera and Cobi Jones fan club. I'm not a fan of either of them. I'd love it if the US had a stable full of quality soccer broadcasters, but we don't.

    Re: USMNT - Gold Cup

So this Rodolfo Zelaya kid from El Salvador is really fun to watch. He had both goals in their first match against T&T, but his best moment of the match was on a ridiculous bicycle attempt that Trindad's keeper made a great reaction save on. Go to the 6:27 mark of this video...

The way he makes solid contact with a ball that is played behind him is just ridiculous.
