Works for me. Maybe they could send yachting up to Lake Rathbun.

Kingston, the convention center, a bi-polar river, a smelly lake, new Linn-Mar pool. Hell they could just flood the orchestra pit at the paramount and use that for diving!

    What else do they need?

If Chicago can't get it....yeah nice try.

If you're going to be down in that area...why not have Dallas/FW host it.

Makes me wonder if they become eligible for some sort of research funding by putting their name out as a possibility. Then, they use it to fund urban planning that they would like to do anyway.

Re: Tulsa bidding for the 2024 Olympics. Seriously

The infrastructure and development that would be necessary to host the Olympics would be very good for my line of work.

But I can’t imagine the kind of headache it would be as a resident living a normal life in an Olympic host city during the games.

Re: Tulsa bidding for the 2024 Olympics. Seriously

New York and especially Chicago would've won if it wasn't for the pettyness of the USOC. They couldn't agree on revenue sharing at all so that is why they were ousted in the voting process. They agreed in 2010 on a revenue sharing, just before the Vancouver Olympics and the relations between the IOC and USOC has grown tremendously.

Whoever the USOC decides to be the bid city from the U.S. will win. I GUARANTEE IT. We probably would've won it for the 2020 but we were still squabbling when applications were do so we didn't even turn one in. (Although Vegas went behind the USOC's back and turned one in anyway but it was rejected).

    My teams: (as of 6/15/14)
    Cleveland Browns: 4-12 - .250
    Cleveland Indians: 34-35 - .493
    Cleveland Cavs: 33-49 - .402
    Iowa State Cyclones (FB): 3-9 - .250
    Iowa State Cyclones (BB): 28-8 - .778
