Re: CFTV: Hard work paying off for Sherron Dorsey-Walker

I love how he lobbed the question up to him on where he see's himself in next years lineup and he says wherever Hoiberg wants him. Best answer.

Im glad to see our players have the mentality of Hoiberg knows best. Kane has said this as well on top of many others playing out of their "natural" position. This is something not many college basketball players have.

One thing Hoiberg has made clear is that you can make big contributions in lots of ways. Point guards can still score a lot (Lucious). Bench-players can be viewed as main scorers and game-winners (McGee). Assists (White), rebounds (White), and defense on key opponent players (Babb) are highly valued.

Kane probably knows that to have a future at the next level if he has one, has to be at point guard.

I think Tyrus has paved the way to keeping the 6th/7th bench player happier even if they don't start.

Absolutely. The guy was a fan favorite and he didnt even start. That says something right there for those who are willing to put in the time and have the right attitude.

I like the answer as well, but I would also liked if he would have said something along the lines of:

"I didn't work so hard over the last year and use a red-shirt season just to come off the bench - my goal is to be a starter for this team, but I know that I have to earn that right and teams' needs will always come first!"

I love seeing/hearing that kind of fire & drive in players.

I know it's July and I know it's CCL, but I'm excited about this kid
