    Fast Food Fro-yo

Just visited the new Orange Leaf in my neighborhood tonight. Now have that in Ankeny along with a Cherry Berry and Lemon Tree and I think all 3 in the last 2 years. I can't tell a difference other than one time at Lemon Tree the yogurt wasn't completely frozen and came running out of the spigot. Am I missing something?

I swear by Orange Leaf, however we don't have those others you listed in Omaha. We have Peach something (wave i think), and Red Mango, then local shops.

I think Orange Leaf has the best fro-yo, and by far the best selection. Red Mango has like 5 flavors at a time, and they all suck.

Cherry Berry I think had the least but there were at least 10 flavors. Its been long enough between each trip to each of them that I just don't see the difference.

Orange leaf and Aspen leaf in Ames.

    Both very similar.

I don't really understand why fro-yo is the new thing.

Orange Leaf and Aspen Leaf in Ames are 100% the same thing, but for some reason I prefer Aspen Leaf (though I have nothing against Orange Leaf.)

Cherry Berry is a clear step below Orange Leaf here in DSM. Menchie's isn't bad.

Because women and girls perceive fro-yo as a healthy alternative to ice cream, when in reality it is almost exactly the same as far as sugar and calories

You never (correction: You rarely) see a group of sorority girls on an outing to Coldstone Creamery, but Orange Leaf? All the time.

The thing that I get a kick out of is that frozen yogurt was the thing back in the early 90's. Surprised it has come back so fast.

    Re: Fast Food Fro-yo

We prefer Orange Leaf over Aspen Leaf here in Ames, just personal preference. Aspen Leaf really touted that they were "organic" and Orange Leaf isn't. Give me the chemicals and artificial flavor anyday. ;)

I will say that as a sorority girl in the 90's, Famous Amos P. Yogurt was a favorite. You could find someone to go with you anytime of the day if you wanted to go.

    Re: Fast Food Fro-yo

Froyo is the new fad like gelato was a few years ago. Somehow the Italian word for ice cream was healthier, than when you call it ice cream. I believe froyo is just ice cream with yogurt mixed in, but they use milk instead of mostly heavy cream like cold stone does, making it slightly less fatty.

This fad will be gone in < 5 years.

While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”

I hope it's less than that because my wife and kids are obsessed with this stuff, and that new Orange Leaf in Ankeny is way too close to our house.
