I'm always amazed by this that you have some guys that take loads of cash to play for a team going nowhere when you could still get decent money and play for a championship.

Yes, no chance he stays. They drafted a point as well.

    Bulls will waive Rip Hamilton

Any deal that has Kevin Martin getting that much is a joke. Althougth the T'Wolves seem like a good fit since he just demonstrated how terrified he is of the playoff stage.

Also, I like the Dunleavy signing for the Bulls. He's a better version of Korver who can actually compete under Thibs system.

Between this and the CJ Watson signing, pretty good day for the Pacers. They probably overpaid a bit for David West, but if they didn't then someone else would have. A little more scoring punch off the bench would be a nice addition, but I don't know that their limited cap space will allow any more major moves.
I believe you're a Pacers fan, right? You really feel like it was an over pay? You need David West to compete in the East, he sets the tone for the team. His game ages well, strong physical defense and a good midrange game can hang around the leage for a long time. I think it was a deal they had to make. You only get a few shots at the title, you gotta take them rather than saving money for the future.

Tony Allen will resign with Memphis

Detroit interested in acquiring Rudy Gay, offering Stuckey and Villanueva. Two expiring contracts.

Yeah, I am a Pacers fan, and yes, I think 12 mil a year is a bit much for a 33 year old playing on a surgically repaired knee, even if his game does lend itself to an extended career. But as I mentioned in my post, if they didn't overpay for him then someone else definitely would have. They had to make the deal and I'm pleased they were able to keep him, but there's certainly a fair bit of risk for a small market team with middling attendance to dole out that type of deal to an older player.

Ah yes, decisions decisions. Which franchise to cripple for the next decade with a horrendous contract and which coach's career should to destroy next?

If I were a GM I wouldn't even consider signing him. Bad back, declining production, weird attitude (does he care or not? Very hard to tell at times)...there are better ways to build a team.

That sounds like an awful deal. Trading away an established scorer and two way player for a one dimensional backcourt player who can't finish at the rim. Not only that, but you'd be talking about paying a near max deal for a sixth man because he wouldn't supplant George Hill at PG.

IMO Granger is never going to be close to the player he was before his injuries.
