Great trade for next season. We'll see how long the window of opportunity stays open for Indiana since they aren't a big market team. Definitely a win now attitude and I like it.

    Ok, not bad.

The Pacers need Granger to be healthy and effective. Paul George and/or Lance Stephenson can slide into the 3, but I think the Pacers are better playing big than they are with small ball. And George, Granger, West, Hibbert is one of the largest lineups in the NBA.

Love it love it love it! If they can't match the Heat with sheer talent then they can do the next best thing and bludgeon them in the paint. They're now arguably the biggest and most physical team in the NBA. Scoring punch is still a concern, but if they get a healthy Granger back next season then that should alleviate that issue.

Danny Granger NBA & ABA Stats | Basketball-Reference.com

    Maybe Granger will be traded.

Let my Fred's Posse Ride: Georges, Naz, Hogue, Bryce, Nader, Monte, Matt, and McKay.

    Re: NBA Offseason Thread

There was talk of it, but I think this Gerald Green & Miles Plumlee for Luis Scola trade probably makes any Granger trade less likely.

I am excited for this season and especially the playoff picture in the East.

Great move by the Pacers! The Nugs get even more exciting, but probably not any better.

I'll believe it when I see but I don't think Danny Granger is going to be anywhere close to the player he used to be.

He will be similar to Derrick Rose or Kobe Bryant on their comeback. You play soft or you go for it after the injury. Mentally his choice...

Greg Oden chose Miami, not a big surprise, and a potentially great pick up for them. Finally gives them some actual size. I am not sure I expect much of anything from him this season though.

I was gonna cheer for Oden's legs to stay in one piece almost wherever he went but he's made it difficult. Still, I hope he finds some success in the NBA. Sucks to be that brittle.

I hope he has a great season individually, and opts out of the second year of his contract. Meanwhile the Heat manage to lose prior to reaching the Finals this season. In basketball I find it easy to cheer for individuals even on team I don't like. (Ray Allen being a good example this past season)

Hell yes. Could be a huge addition for Miami. I expect the Heat to bring him along very slowly this year but he could play a huge role for them in the playoffs and allow Miami to play a slighlty less aggresive defensive style and conserve more engergy. This takes some of the sting out of losing Miller.

    Re: NBA Offseason Thread

The east playoffs should be really interesting next year if everyone remains healthy. Between Brooklyn, Chicago, Miami, and Indiana you've got some loaded teams.
