Anyone ever go for the home run with an ex?

Well there is this other intern that I work with, let's call her Anna. And her ex boyfriend was driving up to Minneapolis from Des Moines because it was "cheaper" than flying from Des Moines to go to Vegas (I called BS). Let's call him Matt.

Matt is coming up tonight. Then Matt sent Anna a text today "check your email". HE BOUGHT HER A TICKET TO GO WITH HIM TO VEGAS. And the kicker is that she's considering it!

Have any of you tried a Hail Mary or a home run like this? I can't believe the drama this is creating... it is amazing.

Rule #1-If you want to get back together with an ex, that's perfectly fine, but if you buy your way back in, it will end poorly for you.

I can't even wrap my head around the idea of flying from Des Moines to Minneapolis, so I don't think I can be much help for the rest of it.

Edit: Or do you mean flying from MSP to Vegas? In that case never mind. I am an idiot.

Try Chicago to Milwaukee. I'm not convinced the plane left the runway.

Is the plane from wherever to wherever taking off from a treadmill?

I think he is driving to Minneapolis and then flying to Vegas. If I understand the OP.

This is going to end badly. But keep us posted.

Sorry, I was typing this out fast because I am laughing too hard from all the drama.

    1. What does she look like?
    2. Can she transfer the ticket to you?

Yes, correct. I edited it a bit.

I've hit a homerun with an ex.

However I have no idea what the op is talking about.

If you want to hit a homerun, this is not a bad plan. Exes are always rechecking each other out for the what if. This might be Jerry Springer material.

Re: Anyone ever go for the home run with an ex?

That looks like it has disaster written all over it.

On another note, my buddy had his bachelor party in Vegas in March. For giggles, I checked flights from Minneapolis (where I live) and Des Moines. The Des Moines flight was actually about $100 cheaper at that time. But for the drive/gas, it wasn't worth it.

I think you're right on regarding the cost of tickets BS

Re: Anyone ever go for the home run with an ex?

Are they exes because he's in Des Moines and she moved up to Minneapolis?

I doubt I would buy a ticket for an ex to go anywhere with me, but I'd certainly give that homerun the 'ol college try the night before I left.
