Re: Korie Lucious likely heading to the Pistons

I watched the game and Phil Pressey played great defense against Siva and Korie. Caused a lot of turnovers. Korie made a few bad mistakes by leaving his feet for a pass, but overall he looked like he spread the floor well and controlled his team as much as he could. They got beat by 30 (only the 5th time thats happened in NBA summer league) so it was a bit of struggle the entire game. His shot looks great. I can see the pistons keeping a hometown kid like KL on the roster.

I would really like that to be the case. But we had a better point guard in '05 who was drafted by the same organization and DID NOT make the cut. I'm talking about Wil Blalock, and Korie, talented as he is, is no Wil Blalock. A better shooter? Maybe, but not as good on defense or distribution or getting into the lane. I feel he may be too small and too poor on defense to have a prolonged NBA career. I hope he can prove me wrong, though.

Korie was a turnover waiting to happen in college, not surprised he turned it over 6 times in his summer league debut.

You still post on this site? You never have anything positive to say.

I hope I'm wrong, but KL's got a 1% chance of making the roster. He's an undersized PG who's only NBA quality asset is shooting. He's a below average decision maker, and you can't be that as a PG in the NBA. Never mind the fact that the PG position is the most stacked position in the NBA by a long shot.

He's playing right now on NBA tv against the Bulls.

While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”
