    Re: Sterling Griffin

He hasn't committed but would be cool

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

This would be great. Would help out at a very thin position.

Sounds like a plan! According to the NBC Sports article, he even could play 2 years somewhere if granted his medical RS. Not sure how to handicap anything having to do with an NCAA decision, but it seems like he has a strong case.

I didn't mean to imply that he was even considering ISU (yet), but it sure looks like it would work well to me...

Could be a good get but Bevin's scholly is already out the window since he started and then quit.

The sky is the limit. We are trying to win every game. We are going to try to get to that big stage, the Final Four, and play on. Morris (May 2014)
If you take a look at this group, were extremely talented 1-15. We have a lot of talented guys in this locker room all guys who are willing to put their agendas aside to win. That separates good teams from great teams. Niang (Oct 2014)

Give it to the long snapper. Always good to reward walk-ons that contribute.

Rather give it to a player that can contribute and get us over the 3 wins in conference hump.

The long snapper contributes plenty. I would personally be fine given it to a former walk-on who has emerged.

    Re: Sterling Griffin

Too bad Bevins couldn't have quit last year so that Tyler Leo could've gotten a scholarship. I'm not really sure on whether I'd give a scholarship to a long snapper. Was it McCarney or Chizik who gave the scholarship to the long snapper? Purvis, I think?

I believe it was Landon Schrage and he played under Mac. Although I think Matt Purvis also got a scholarship after Schrage.
