I thought Dan Patrick was broadcasting on Fox Sports Radio? I've heard his promo on KXNO. Is he going to be writing for SI as well?

Yeah he now works for SI, but still has his radio show, now on KXNO in the morning after Cotlar.

Patrick's show is now syndicated...it is still on ESPN radio here in Cedar Rapids...at 3:00 I believe. Any station is free (at a cost) to air Patrick's show now...

And as someone stated above, Reilly and Patrick traded places!

He's not part of the Fox Sports Radio network, though. He's syndicated, like Rome.

I thought Rome's show was ESPN, much like Cowherd and Patrick (used to be). They were always advertised together as an ESPN lineup - ironically on FOX Sports Radio in the Quad Cities.

Reilly used to be a regular on Patrick's radio show but his new employer won't let him come on anymore... must be some bad blood with Dan...

Re: Sports Illustrated Rick Reilly moves on....

I get tired of good sportswriters leaving for television. I guess I can understand the attraction of ESPN, but the career sportswriter is a dying breed. I used to look forward to reading Pedro Gomez in the Arizona Republic, especially during baseball season. He's a great writer. Although I'm sure it pays better, it's sad to see him wasting his talent by following Barry Bonds around the country like a tabloid journalist for ESPN.
