And they dominated the whole match. That's almost as big as the fact that they even beat them. It shows how well they are playing and could go even further.

Re: VB: Cyclone women beat wisc. 3-0

Wisc was the 7 seed, Cal is #10. Wisc is hosting the regional - with them out we ought to have some crowd advantage. Having played NU and Texas prepares us to play anyone.

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

WOW! Some more good news from ISU sports! I am excited. Is there a site where I can find all the seedings and results? It is a bit different than basketball I am assuming.

If you were to compare it to basketball, Wisconsin is the #2 seed in the region. They are the #7 seed for the overall tournament. ISU was one of the last teams in the tourney and we just swept the #2 seed 3-0 on their home court. It's a big deal.

Re: VB: Cyclone women beat wisc. 3-0

That guy is a nimrod. ISU was the FIFTH team in the Big 12, not the sixth. Mizzou was the last Big 12 team selected, but their name came up earlier on the show because of the region they were in. When you finish above .500 in a league that has four teams in the top 25, that's pretty much a guaranteed spot.

You can't really equate the seeding processes for anyone lower than the actual top 16 seeds. Volleyball is still very much a regional sport. That's why ISU has gone to Madison twice in a row, and that's why UNI went up there this year.
