    Poison Ivy

I got poison ivy on my legs over the weekend disc golfing. Does anyone have some home remedies that I should try?

Rubbing alcohol helps some people... but you really should get to the store and get some calamine lotion too. Dry it out and keep it from spreading.

    Re: Poison Ivy

    Aloe Vera, Calamine Lotion, etc.

You could also save some money and grow your own aloe vera

I'd suggest you try to keep it in the fairway.

    Re: Poison Ivy

I don't remember what is in it exactly, but the band-aid brand anti-itch gel for poison ivy works well. Also, you can buy this stuff which you can put on your skin and/or wash your clothes with to remove the oils so you don't get the rash to re-occur: Tecnu for Poison Oak Rash & Poison Ivy Rash

    Re: Poison Ivy

The acid in urine will help to dissolve the oils and break down the sores. You can do it yourself, or have a friend help.

Or he could use your acid tongue.

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.
