    Spacebar Sticking

All right, yes, I know, this is all my fault for eating around my laptop. But without going to some geek crew, or baud squad or whatever, is there an easy way to lift out my keyboard, to blow out beneath it?

I really would like for the spacebar to work correctly--especially since I spend most of my time writing, and going back to insert spaces between most of the words is a royal pain in the neck...

    Help? Please, anyone?

Your problem is you appear to have a large amount of semen under your space bar.

    Re: Spacebar Stciking

I would consider googling your keyboard model and see if there are instructions or videos of people taking it apart. Or you could just carefully pry up on the spacebar and see if it pops off.

I'm not liable for any damages sustained in this process.

Edit: I guess I missed the fact that its a laptop. There still may be some video of people taking apart the keyboard if you google it.

When my enter key stopped working, I used the program KeyTweak to change a the right shift key to Enter. You can change the space bar to something else using that program, if all else fails. You actually get used to it in a hurry.

Key probably just pops off, is it just a basic keyboard or something fancy?

Just order a new keyboard and replace it yourself. Shouldn't be too pricey.

It's a laptop so it might not be THAT easy.

Try gently prying the spacebar up. If it doesn't pop off easy, then stop. You can get a can of compressed air from best buy or wherever and try and blow the gunk out that way as well.

Thanks, guys. Guess I'd better shut down and try that...

    Re: Spacebar Stciking

Most laptop keyboards are fairly simple to remove. But YouTube will probably have somebody doing it as suggested above. It can be a little scary the first time, but it's usually just a few screws on the bottom of the machine that allow you access to pop the keyboard off.

Most laptop keyboards just have a couple screws to remove to pull the keyboard out. I had to replace mine when my 1 year old ripped most of the keys off and lost them.
