Can you give us a synopsis of why Lady Stoneheart is not in season 4 without giving up the spoilers?

From the start Lady Stoneheart was never planned on being in Season 4. That is about all I can say. When you read some of the directors comments about Lady Stoneheart and The Hound can be interpreted a number of ways. I just wanted to post a warning to be safe. Maybe I making a mound of a mole hill....

Relationship on GoT seems a little more complicated. There seemed to be true animosity there when she reaches for the knife. Did she turn on Tyrion on purpose after he tried to send her away?
He was in love with her in the books (Because he fell in love with any woman who pretended to like him)... she was just playing her role as his whore as she was supposed to.

While cool in the episode, it sort of turns the whole story upside-down. I mean how does a race of people who can produce and throw fire lose a war first with the first men who had little to no armor and were later conquered by Aegon and his Dragonfire and then lose most of their numbers in a war with the white walkers/wights who are totally undone by fire. Weird twist if you ask me.
That was definitely done for the TV audience to try and wow them. They have been freezing their way and struggling to reach the three eyed crow, and all along these little guys can shoot fireballs? Why are they hiding if they can shoot fire?

And why did she wait until Jojen died to save them?

I've noticed usually when a plot point doesn't make sense it is when there is a departure from the books. Martin's stories make more logical sense than almost any other fictional novels, especially fantasy of course.

Nitpicking is OK, bashing the show because they make mistakes grinds our gears!

Gnomeborg you are going to have a great season five if they go all in on Euron, Vicatarion and Asha. If memory serves you love you some Reavers.

Eh, overall they have done a fantastic job with the show. Only real significant complaint on a book change that I have is from way back in Season 2. Far superior to what I hoped for in my wildest dreams when I heard HBO was turning the books into a series.

If they want to knock it out of the park, they needs to have the opening scene of season 5 be LSH awakened by Lord Beric.

Re: Games of Thrones Book Thread (With Spoilers)

I got to thinking. Maester Aemon on the voyage from Braavos to Oldtown talks to Sam about Daenarys and Melisandre. Purporting that Stannis sword is merely a glamor. What is interesting to me is what level of communication there is between the Maesters and the Red Priests. How and why they are working together, and if in fact, they are working together and the man who has the key stolen is Jaqen H'ghar. Who hired Jaqen for this task and was his meeting with Arya chance or is that why he was there?
