KU's prized FB recruit arrested for armed robbery and kidnapping

You'd have to think he'll be gone. Big loss for them if that's how it goes down.

I'd say it's a big blow, but it's Kansas, they are going to be terrible with or without him.

I'll bet Charlie is loving Lawrence. I cannot for the life of me figure out why he is still trying to be a head coach.

“We are aware of the situation and are in the process of gathering facts,” Weis said. “The behavior described in these charges is not acceptable at the University of Kansas. When we are confident that we have enough information, we will act appropriately.”

By "University of Kansas" what he really means is "anywhere".

How in the world did KU sign Coldplay's Chris Martin?

“I told you, I don’t care if you’re black or white. I don’t care if you’re rich or poor. I don’t care where you come from, whether it’s Texas, Florida, California, or right here in the state of Iowa, I don’t care about any of that… But what I did care about is moving forward from that day on, that we were one team." -Paul Rhoads

He could make a lot of money and have more job security as an OC. He is just sure he can do it and doesn't want to quit.

There's a radio station over here in hawk land that reads the police reports for IC, Coralville, and Johnson County. You'd be amazed at how often people call the cops on someone and admit to a crime while doing so.

In the Reg today, some guy did that last night, he said "I owed them money from a drug deal, and they showed up and robbed me".

Theres isnt really anything the cops can do.

If he gets the boot at KU I'm sure the Detroit Lions would sign him. Sounds like he would fit right in.

Re: KU's prized FB recruit arrested for armed robbery and kidnapping

I'm not sure he'll actually be gone... I think Weiss is starting to do whatever it takes to bolster his squad as they need all the help they can get. The AD is going to have to be careful IMO as I imagine they will walk a thin line on these types of situations. KU can continue to be terrible, but I have a feeling that they think if they suffer a few years in the off-the-field PR dept and win more games, it'll be worth it. It's a tough climb out of the cellar as we can all attest to. I'm still dumbfounded on how Baylor got out (at least at the moment), which I think was a factor of making a great hire, and having an amazing track program which attracted RG3.
