Seriously, what do you want...a cookie? Sheesh.

He had a great game tonight. No need for the smack. Last I checked, we should all be happy, celebrating and such.

    We won.

I don't hate the kid. Was disappointed with his play the first few games and I even noted to some people during/after the UNI game he looked a lot less robotic and was really happy for him to finally have that good game. I hope he continues his agressive play he's shown these last 2 games. Gave us quality minutes off the bench tonight.

I think we're seeing in Alex what we saw from many of the guys on our football team.

Things suddenly clicking as he obtained a better understanding of the system and got into the flow of the game.

    Pretty simple really.

Re: midnight snack of crow for Thompson haters

I only saw the second half, and not ripping on AT, but I really didn't see that great of play. He didn't stand out to me and basically I was just frustrated watching our post players not block out and rebound. Until I read these posts did I have any clue he executed is play any better.

One thing I did notice is that he looked pretty sweaty (like Adam Haluska sweaty) thus I did pick up on his increased effort level.

However, it appears based on the consensus of posters that AT did play better and hope Greg rewards him by starting him versus Iowa. We need to light a fire under the rest of our team and maybe AT can give us a spark... seems like good timing.

Totally agree...lets hope it sticks and he can be a force for us underneath!

Im just glad I have Homan as my bodyguard, Eustachy joked. If I ever make it real big and get to drive a limo everyday, hell be driving it. I thought he came off the bench like somebody was stealing his cow or something.

My goodness he's played 1 good game this season and now we need to eat crow? lol

Give me a damn break. Nobody wishes AT anything but the best but we need to see it more than 1 time to be a believer. Another gem by Copenhagen supporting another white, Iowa kid. We get it.

I'm glad Alex performed well tonight but it will be even better if we get a consistent performance from him like this, I think that will leave us in good shape the rest of the way.

Apparently he's going to start a thread every time a player that is struggling has a good game.

I think you saw a lot more tenacity by the whole team at times last night. I was really impressed with the change in some of their "meanness" from the past few games. AT looked 100x better than he has in the past and he looked a lot more fluid than previous games. Hopefully it wasn't just a fluke but a change in style.

See, I guaranteed a win for ISU by betting on OSU. From this point forward, I will do all ISU fans a favor and always bet against ISU.

I would much rather see that then the hacks who expect perfection out a a new player at the beginning of the season starting a thread after every game attacking AT's or Haluska's manhood when they don't measure up.

Seriously people, ***** about starting threads about a player who did good???? I'll read a post like this 100 times before I'll read the attacking crap I had to read after the UNI and Bradley game.

Re: midnight snack of crow for Thompson haters

On the Cyclone post-game with Heft & Walters, Alex was interviewed and he spoke about over-thinking and being too concerned about making a mistake. He was much more relaxed against OSU than he has been in other games. Coach Mac also said something to the effect that he had a pretty serious talk with AT about the way he has been playing, needing to improve his game, and showing it on the floor come game time.

Utah Utes, Illinois Illini. The University of Pennsylvania thought about following this pattern by calling themselves the Pennsylvania Pencils. However, they were afraid their students would start chanting "We're No. 2"
