    Hawaii

Going to Oahu for a week next week. Any suggestions what I should do? I've been to Oahu once when I was little, but don't have any memory of anything I did.

    Thanks!

Visit the "Punch Bowl Crater"! Located in Honolulu. It is the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. Very impressive and awe-inspiring. Here is some info: National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific - National Cemetery Administration

Surf the North Shore (if you know how to surf). Snorkle Hanauma Bay. Definitely go to Pearl Harbor.

Remember, you're unique. Just like everyone else.

    Re: Hawaii

    Pearl Harbor is a must.

We also took surfing lessons on Waikiki Beach.

I would also drive up to the North Shore, you can check out all the famous surf spots up there, Pipeline, Waimea Bay...

There's a good shave ice place when you first get to the North Shore from Honolulu in Haleiwa.

There was also a thing that leaves from Haleiwa and takes you out to sea two miles where you can snorkel in a cage with the sharks. That was really cool on our honeymoon.

    Re: Hawaii

Was just there in January, hit up pearl harbor (historic and truly remarkable, plus you go by where the Pro Bowl is played), hit this up Chiefs Luau at Sea Life Park (awesome, awesome time, the guy has been on countless shows including Survivor and is great to talk to, just dont spend the extra money for front row seating as its not worth it), take boat ride around the island (when we were there the whales were all over), just enjoy paradise.

AVOID THE MASSES OF PEOPLE, the area is nuts with people. If you are staying on Waikiki beach you will see hundreds and hundreds of homeless people, nice people but can get tiresome since they are usually sitting on park benches where you want to sit.

    Pearl Harbor.

Then walk around the Waikiki beach area and try to count all the ABC stores.

Tried that. Numbers don't go that high.

    Re: Hawaii

Don't go surf the North Shore. I used to be stationed at K-Bay. If you surf the North Shore and you don't surf well. You will die. Litterally die. Also you might stand a chance to get the hell kicked out of you by a local.

Visit Pearl and take the tour. Well worth it. Punch bowl is cool as well.

Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

    Re: Hawaii

Eat here, catch their own fish daily and serve "catch of the day" based on what they caught. Pricey but very good. I had swordfish as they had caught several that day.

Agree. Getting in the water in a lot of spots on the North Shore is a bad idea. Even though right now you won't see anything close to peak wave season.
