    Also sold at that Mecum auction in Indy was the 1967 Shelby GT500 Super Snake. I say "the" because it was a one of a kind build, with a racing 427 LeMans GT40 engine that produced 600 HP and a top speed of 170 mph. It was most recently owned by a collector in IL and showed only 26,000 miles on the odometer. It sold for the tidy sum of $1.3 million.

    I was watching this movie on one of those DVD-on-TV shows & they said they went thru a few of them on the big bridge ramp stunt (don't remember how many they said).

    I was kind of surprised by that just because of how fake that scene looked.
