    Belly up to the Big 12 Bar

    We often complain (rightfully so) about the lack of televised games involving Big 12 schools, well the same cann't be said for this weekend, 9 out of 12 Big 12 schools will have their games shown on TV this weekend:

    Friday Night:

    KU at Toledo, 7 pm, ESPN2;

    Saturday:

    ISU at Iowa, 11 am, ESPN;
    Marshall at Kansas State; 11:30 am on FSN
    OU at Oregon, 2:30 pm, ABC; (Channel 5, please show this game!)
    Texas Tech at TCU, 4:30 pm, OLN
    UT at Rice, 5pm, ESPN2;
    Arizona State at Colorado, 6 pm, TBS
    NU at USC, 7 pm, ABC;
    A&M at Army, 9 pm ESPN2

    KCAU-TV does list the OU vs Oregon game. WOI just listed, "College Football, Teams TBA".

    That is partly because four games fall under other conference tv contracts, one big ten, two pac 10, and one under Army's tv contract. But it does help get our conference on tv since Big 12 slots can be taken by the other schools playing at home.

    Re: Belly up to the Big 12 Bar

    Heard on sports talk that Nebraska coach is telling everyone to have Lowered Expectations. They are a 19 point underdog. He is taking the low road before the game is played. One concern they have in Lincoln today is if they lose to USC and Texas twice (title game) in the regular season, they would be eliminated from BCS. So they are worried. After Saturday nmght, they will have swagger or they will have cold sweats in Lincoln.

    They think 10-3 would not be good enough for the preferred bowl game. They would not be showing growth. Still looks like miles away from national championship again.
