A possible amount of 40 could be added to death toll raising it to 91.

Is this just a freak occurrence or is there a weather based reason 2 massive tornadoes have hit in the exact same spot?

I was watching the weather channel last night and this tornado was on a path slightly south of the 1999 tornado but was tracking with the 1999 tornado for quite a while. There was also a pretty big tornado in 2003 that was also on the same general path and crossed the path and stayed a bit more on course with the 1999 tornado.

If you need any reminder of just how fast a tornado can form and begin to tear things apart, here's a firsthand account of the tornado from yesterday in OK.

How does that happen? Is someone really bad at counting? Maybe that guy shouldn't be the Official Death Toll guy anymore.

naww, he's from Oklahoma, he knows what he's doing. He kept moving the truck to be able to get out. His son commented on Reddit that he was making sure he had both a south and western exit. Not that I'd have been sitting there though!

I kept laughing about that, like being on one end of the parking lot vs. the other would save him if the tornado turned his way.

I was assuming it was allowing him to get to the exit that he wanted + get a better shot.
