    Tulsa Loses Two

I really want to see a W against Tulsa this fall.

Remember, you're unique. Just like everyone else.

Until further notice, the Big 12 tournament is best. There's an experience here. Not just the teams -- the feel, the vibe, the establishments. Iowa State not only won the pregame -- filling the nearby Power & Light District -- it won the whole damn scene.

Looks like the kicker is a pretty big loss...that's about it though.

I am a firm believer that the first road trip can be huge for an inexperienced team like ours this fall. A solid road revenge win then we come back to a jacked up Jack Trice and kick some longhorn ***.

The sky is the limit. We are trying to win every game. We are going to try to get to that big stage, the Final Four, and play on. Morris (May 2014)
“If you take a look at this group, we’re extremely talented 1-15. We have a lot of talented guys in this locker room — all guys who are willing to put their agendas aside to win. That separates good teams from great teams.” Niang (Oct 2014)

Losing their star linebacker is their biggest loss imo

Tulsa has 10 starters back from last year, and we have 9.

Seems like they have a lot of skill players back though.

Even going into the bowl I felt like the loser of the bowl would start out with a huge edge in the early 2013 game, so I used that to rationalize the disappointment . Reality of our scheduling lately is we have to go 3-0 in the non conf every year to have a chance at even a 6-8 win season.

Our number of "starters" returned is misleading with the rotations we used at DL, OL, WR, and RB last year. Not to mention corners who got a ton of PT and returning Brun with a stud Juco added.

Don't know if "starter" includes SB Richardson, but we basically split that starting job into thirds, I guess since he started to close out the season he's a returning starter where like JB/SJ would be hard to consider a returning starter. Does it include punters and kickers? Can't hurt we bring back maybe our best punter ever and their starting kicker got booted off the team.
