    Very good news to hear Emily might take her 40% 3 pt shooting to Ames. At the very least, it's a big upgrade for her in mascot names, going from the "Jugglers" to being a Cyclone. IMO.

    I like "Jugglers". It's a lot more interesting than the generic mascots most high schools have.

    how do you know the Pretzels? I used to to Church in Freeport and work with some Pretzels.

    Welcome Emily...

    I don't care who started the conversation with Emily to get her to consider Iowa State. It is just good that we are actively recruiting in areas that we have never been in before. If you can't see that the intensity level of recruiting has picked up since one coach left and another was hired then you need to get your eyes checked. We have been getting more interest from a large variety of players than in years past. Good job, BF and staff. One more verbal and we may be done for the year. I doubt we will use all three of the remaining scholarships for 2014.

    Again, congratulations Emily, you made a great choice.

    Durr is putting on a show this summer and Bill may have landed a great one. Anyone following other commits progress in the summer?


    The much deserved MVG (Most Valuable GymRat) in the 16U Age Division was awarded to the City Rocks 6-1 Emily Durr. Durr, a 2014 forward / guard who plays for Notre Dame High School, scored a championship game high 20 points and posted a 12 of 24 effort from three point range over the course of the tournament. Additionally, she was a force to contend with on the defensive end demonstrating that the Iowa State commit has the total package.
