    North Texas Tornado

As of this morning, 6 dead, 14 missing, nearly 100 injured, massive damage. The tornado hit Granbury, and then turned southeast into Cleburne.

6 Killed, Up to 100 Injured After Tornado Outbreak | NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

Ahead of that storm (shortly after Granbury was hit), a tight rotation developed (literally) right over us in SW Arlington. It lowered somewhat, but never fully came to the ground. The sirens went off, and warning was issued. The rotation held together as it moved through Grand Prairie and into downtown Dallas, but thankfully never touched down.

Glad to hear you are alright. We are up in Addison, and just had heavy T-storms, thankfully no funnels.

Glad you all are OK. It all just turned into heavy thunderstorms by the time it hit Lake Ray Hubbard thankfully. We sat out and watched it roll in over the lake. Seeing the devastation in Granbury this morning is heartbreaking.

Remember, you're unique. Just like everyone else.

Until further notice, the Big 12 tournament is best. There's an experience here. Not just the teams -- the feel, the vibe, the establishments. Iowa State not only won the pregame -- filling the nearby Power & Light District -- it won the whole damn scene.

Granbury tornado rated EF-4 by NWS. Seven still missing.

Granbury Tornado Rated an EF-4 | NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

My wife called a few minutes ago. One of her co-workers is a trained weather spotter who lives in SW Arlington. He says a possible small tornado went through SW Arlington last night (about three miles from where I live) at 11:30 PM. There was a severe thunderstorm warning at that time, but no tornado warning issued. Power lines and trees are down, lots of debris, and a couple of streets are closed off, but as far as he knew, no houses were severely damaged. I went to bed thinking the worst was over...

Frisco never got more than 1 loud clap of thunder. I assumed it was over and/or staying to the south, and at least for Frisco that proved true.
