    Hannibal

Has anyone been watching this new show? I was a big fan of the Silence of the Lambs and the other 2 movies about Hannibal and was a little suspect of NBC doing a series on it - but so far I think it has been really good and I hope they keep around for next fall. Still wish they would have made about 10 more movies.

I'm an episode behind, but I enjoy it. I think it's pretty well done for a network series.

    Re: Hannibal

We are also a couple of episodes behind but enjoying it.

Erik, you mention three Hannibal movies. Have you ever seen the 1986 version of Red Dragon titled Manhunter? It is a bit dated but pretty well done. You also get the bonus of seeing just how bowlegged William Peterson (of CSI fame) really is; skinny jeans are not his friend.

I really like this show, but have no idea what day it's actually on. So I seem to miss it every week and have to find it online.

    Re: Hannibal

I love this show. One of those that is definitely DVRd and watched when the kids go to bed. I think that the acting is great and the guy who plays Hannibal is perfect. I hope they continue with it next fall. The last episode with the skin wings was extra disturbing. If you haven't seen it yet be prepared.

    Re: Hannibal

I have it dvrd and have only watched the first three episodes but really enjoy. I agree, I have to watch it when the kids are asleep, however, then it's dark and I'm scared.... actually, just get too tired when the sun goes down so have a hard time keeping up on my show watching...

    Re: Hannibal

This show is still up in the air for renewal. I'm guessing it will not be renewed as ratings have been dropping.

    Re: Hannibal

So far a pretty good show..... Are we supposed to be assuming that whenever we see someone eating a meal Hannibal has prepared, that it is actually human flesh? They have never outright said if his meals are people, but with last weeks episode describing the surge in victims and Hannibal's ensuing feast/dinner party(that he never has anymore) that he is letting other people eat human flesh.

Also, the actor who portrays Hannibal is one strange looking mother******.

I think they are doing a good job of playing the pseudo hero/monster line that Hannibal had in the movies. He is so nasty and vile, but in a small way helping the FBI find the other killers.

    Re: Hannibal

Really like this show, I think is a little refreshing compared to the 8 CSI's that are all incredibly similar. Going to be pretty disappointed if the story isn't allowed to play out for at least a few seasons. My only complaint is Hannibal's accent is so thick I have a hard time understanding him.

    Re: Hannibal

I've had to rewind a couple times to catch what he said.

I believe the actual 4th episode was never aired and is available at Hannibal

I had no clue that this was on, and I loved these books (with the exception of Hannibal Rising, which just wasn't quite as good) - is this on Hulu or anything?

    Re: Hannibal

The show has been really good so far and it would definitely be a shame if they don't renew it. The actor playing "Will Graham" has done a great job. Slightly different then the way Ed Norton played it in the movie Red Dragon. Norton's acting was more of an exceptionally talented investigator who is well spoken, down to earth, family guy, energetic, etc... In the show Will Graham is portrayed as a socially awkward, exceptionally talented investigator, that is constantly on the verge of a mental breakdown. Quite the contrast really.

The movie Hannibal Rising was a huge disappointment for me. The other 3 movies were quite good with Silence of the Lambs being far and away the best of them all.
