    Premier League Thread

Here's a thread for all the upcoming news and fun in the Premiership.

To start, some expected, but sad news.

United agree deal for van Persie - Official Manchester United Website

Knew it would happen, rather he would have gone to Juventus or somewhere, ******* United though? Ugh.

Eyes closed, head first, can't lose.

In other sad news, Fabrice Muamba retired. Very fortunate to have survived, though.

I love me some PL football, but the advantages that the big clubs have over everybody else are ridiculous.

Thanks for posting, I've been a little out of touch with the soccer news since the Euro's ended. Incredible story, sucks he had to retire but it was amazing enough that he survived.

    Everton is after Dempsey.

Rumor Central: Everton could enter race for Clint Dempsey | MLSsoccer.com

At this point, Clint should just stay with Fulham. I don't see how a move to Everton or Liverpool is a huge improvement for him and his contract ends after this season anyway.

Did Podolski sign with Arsenal? I'd consider myself an Arsenal fan but I've been way behind as of late.
