    Big fan of asparagus on the grill.
    Wild asparagus seems crazy....I always thought asparagus was only raised in huge factory farms with horrible living conditions...the kind of farms that groups like PETP (people for the ethical treatment of plants) targeted. Who knew.

    I am not sure where to o in Polk Co, but have my own known sources. I would drive along the gravel roads and look in th fence rows....

    How do you eat yours? I like mine boiled and then add melted butter.

    Looking around old farmsteads (road ditches/fences) is a good option.

    Cook it on the grill with some olive oil and coarse ground pepper.

    Love me some asparagus. Just grilled some today that was fresh picked yesterday alongside with my steak. We usually do olive oil with garlic, salt, and pepper. If there is no room in the grill or it's not grilling season, in the oven does a nice job as well.

    This is the best way to prepare asparagus. Almost makes me want to run to the store and fire up the grill...

    My mother in law boils it and then puts it in a white sauce. Not good. Grilled with olive oil and salt is the only way to go. Letting the tips get just a little crispy and its like eating a chip


    Exaggeration is a BILLION times worse than understating.
