    Cyclones at Chiefs Camp

According to a Chiefs site I visit, Durrell Givens was a standout the first day of Chiefs Rookie Camp. They also listed an offensive lineman named Adrian Haughton from ISU.

Scott Haughton was one of the most impressive athletes I've seen as an OL at Iowa State. Too bad he couldn't keep his grades up.

Wish the chiefs would have signed Knott as a FA.

Yeah, I remember Haughton playing in Lincoln. Suh was blowing up Lamaak until they moved Haughton inside. All of a sudden he wasn't in the backfield nearly as much. His grades must have been really bad, because he never really played anywhere after flunking out.

Nice to see Givens getting a shot.

I will go on record as saying Haughton was the best athlete we have ever had at ISU. That guy was a freak.

    Re: Cyclones at Chiefs Camp

Bill Bliel (i think) said that Haughton was by far our most athletic linemen on that team (including KO). I don't know if he's the most athletic Cyclone ever, but he is up there.

You're going on record under an anonymous screen name? Ballsy.

I also read today on some of the chiefs forums that Knott was originally going to sign with the Chiefs and then switched to Philly. Does anyone know why he changed his mind?

It was reported as a big headline on Arrowhead Pride that Jake signed with the Chiefs right after the draft. Full story on him. I was crushed it wasn't true.

My uneducated guess is that he thought he had a better chance of making the team on the Eagles. I think the Chiefs have Derrick Johnson at the spot that Jake would play, and Hali and Houston on the outside. Jake wouldn't be playing the big run-stuffing MLB for them, and the Chiefs drafted a guy in the 4th for that role anyway.
