    Galaxy S4 vs Note 2

Eligible for upgrade here in a couple months.

Trying to decide which of these two monsters I should go with. What say you, CF?

The Note just seems so big, like it would be annoying to have it in your pocket. But I suppose it depends on what and how you use your phone.

I love my Galaxy Note 2. Battery life is good, and response time is lightning fast. Size-wise, I love it, but I'm also 6'4".

I'm not even sure what this means.

Note II owner here. Absolutely love it. Extremely impressed with the battery life. Having a monster screen honestly doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would and having the huge screen is nice for work.

The knock on the Galaxy Note 2 is that it's too large. So if you're a midget, it may not be the phone for you. But since I'm 99 percentile on human range, it's great for me? Seems fairly logical.

It's 5.5 inches, which would be awesome. Alas.

Re: Galaxy S4 vs Note 2

I'm surprised how positive people are to the Note 2. I know the S4 hasn't been out long enough to gauge an accurate assessment, but still I figured there'd be more negativity towards the Note 2. Maybe Samsung just puts out that quality of product?

The only other thing that concerns me is the rate at which new OS gets released to each phone. Sounds like the S4 was released with Key Lime Pie, while it will take a few months for that to hit the Note 2.

Im not opposed at all to the size. I want a big, obnoxious phone. Hell, if I could hold my iPad up to my ear I would.

I thought pockets were a fairly standard size.

Well then get the Note, obviously.

Good point. I just never put anything in my pockets, so I didn't think of that. =p
